Government not doing enough to combat cyber crime - report
A report claims the government is not acting with the urgency and forcefulness that the situation demands when it comes to cyber crime.
The Joint Committee on National Security Strategy has published a report which warns that the cyber threat to the UK's critical national infrastructure is as credible, potentially devastating, and immediate as any threat the country currently faces.
The UK's CNI has been branded a 'natural target' for a major cyber attack due to its importance to daily life and the economy.
The report concludes that the Government should be open about the UK's vulnerability, and rally support for measures which 'match the gravity of the threat'.
