PARENTS ASKED TO HELP SHAPE SEX EDUCATION CURRICULUM

THE LESSONS ARE UNDERGOING THEIR FIRST CHANGE IN 17 YEARS

Parents are being asked for their opinions on what should be included in future sex education lessons.

The Department for Education is overhauling the curriculum for the first time in 17 years.

The last time it was changed was in 2000.

They want parents to contribute to an eight-week consultation, where they will be asked if topics including sexting, online pornography and transgender issues should be included.
